Death and The Moon

Brock Johnson

I was browsing through my deck waiting for my carpool this morning and came across an interesting observation. On only the death and moon cards, there are two pillar like things. On the moon it is obvious but on the death card, it is on the middle right. Does anyone know what these are supposed to represent?

Brock - The explanation I like the best regarding these towers is this: they represent the Tropics - Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn, the northernmost and southern most extreme. They, like faithful guardians (an allusion to the two watchdogs), keep watch over the Sun and Moon, keeping them from wandering off.

Hi fools_fool,

I've never heard this said quite this way. Thank you!
