I started with andybc's posts here and the "Philippe Lenormand Sheet" I downloaded from Tag's "game-of-hope" website, and I eventually bought his book (as well as most of the other English-language books I could find). What I learned from Andy was to keep it focused on the practical aspects of a situation, with very little use of intuitive interpretation (except perhaps in working with card combos). As has been mentioned, it isn't very useful to import tarot practices and methods to Lenormand reading.
