What is the differences between Birds & Letter?

I had recently done some past life readings (after learning I had been a witch in many of my past lives), and when asking "What are some of the things I did with my magick/powers in my witch past lives?" I got:
Clover+Birds+Letter (base)Lady

Then when asking "What things was I MOST gifted with in my witch past lives?" I pulled the same cards!
Clover+Birds+Letter (base)Bouquet

I know the Clover could mean bringing prosperity &/or healing, etc, and Letter could be receiving/sending messages psychically or other wise, but what would the Birds specifically be? Speaking to spirits? If so what's the difference between that and the Letter?

I don't think Lenormand was purpose-built to look at past lives, but this combination is kind of fun, at least the way I see it.

It could be that you were one of the rare at least somewhat literate women of your time, and scribed (Letter) on paper or parchment (Letter again), spells that were recited (Birds, repetition of words is also a Birds thing) for - luck (Clover).

I expect that the making of charms or talismans for people that involved using words was rather a rare thing in those days unless you were in a big city.

Well when doing the reading, I put in the intention of it showing me multiple things- a card for each...
Lenormand can be used for all sorts of readings- I did another about this with 5 cards, wanting it to tell me about those lives in a pattern, and everything I saw when I turned them over just made sense and seemed to spark some sort of memory...

Clover/Herbalism /healing herbs probably!^^)

as birds are air element and point here is on vocal comunication as in old times messengers were usualy memorizing it and talking to others/angel mean message!) that is as people were usualy non literate!^^)
letter /writing as someone mentioned you were schoolar?) and amulet making!) or even writing your text like book of shadows?) spells medicines etc!)
and bouquet is similar!) it can even be parfume or beauty oils making!^^)

Well in my understanding of Lenormand, Birds are verbal communication and letter is written.... So to be honest I don't see how that fits into your reading....So I can see how, considering the type of reading your trying to do, why you would find it a tad confusing lol

Random thoughts of a purely literal nature: Independent of your spread, linking these cards to the idea of contact with the "other side," in which past-life information might be revealed, Birds could be communication through a medium and Letter could be automatic writing, ouija board or something related to visual presentation. As usual, I recommend finding a specialist in past-life regression for this purpose.

Other cards to show the kind of relationship or situation between two souls in past lives or the life of one, for example, could be cards like TOWER for inmates, prisoners even slavery or SHIP foreign traders or nomads.

There are more cards with their own meanings too of course like the BEAR being connected to certain "family" members even the "LILY".

And there are more still...

I have used it for all of these purposes so far, & has been working out quite well! (the one's I was able to understand what they mean, anyways)
When asking about any magical strengths I have now that I don't know about, It basically came out and told me I was linked to my soulmate/twinflame no matter how far we had been split from each other: crossroads+ring+man.

And after thinking about it, I believe you are right about the letter possibly representing spells (i.e. something written that has to be "sent out" to the universe) &/or automatic writing...

When I pulled the Birds, I definitely thought it could represent mediumship & seances, possibly chanting/"messages through the air...
The five-card spread I did was very revealing of some things I went through & rather sad-
I don't currently have the means for a past-life regression person, but would definitely be interested at some point, maybe just try meditation for now...
