Polyhymnia
Hi all.
I haven't posted in a very long time, or read my cards for that matter. My friends are going through a terrible time in their marriage and I felt drawn to read for them. He is torn between his wife, the grounding force and the "other woman", who can (perhaps??) offer him change in form of consciousness, which is what he seeks. So I laid out 4 cards for each "relationship". The question; what will the future of a relationship be with "the other woman" if he leaves his wife (4 cards) and what will the future be if he stays with his wife (4 cards). The last card for "other woman" was the Death card, clarificator the Queen of Wands. I am not sure what this means. Can anyone pitch in here? The cards in her spread were 8 pentacles, 2 pentacles, The Fool, Death/ (clarificator Q Wands)
The 8oP suggests the "apprenticeship", toward the supposed common goal. (As I know more detail) For him it is her ability to take him to the beyond, for her to "have him". He does not want (initially) a sexual relationship, she does. The 2oP says to me that on the surface it can work, but there are obstacles to overcome, this brings with it it's own agitation and confusion. The Fool says to me that should he go to her it is a decision made in a state of intoxication, wrought from extravagance and folly. Misguided and blinded by his false perception of the QoW.
Is the Death card indicative of altered state of consciousness which he seeks, Q Wands (her) being the enabler? Or will their relationship end (Death) as she is not the person he thinks she is ... jealousy, deceit, infidelity (which are attributes she has already shown!)
Perhaps I am biased, but I can not see a happy ending here. For me he may find some of that which he seeks, but at a great cost to him.
I would really appreciate any help you can give me with interpreting these cards.
Thanking you in advance
