Help on identifying my Albano Waite deck edition!!

amandasargeant

Hello! I recently bought an Albano Waite and I have been reading mixed information online about it but have had two people tell me it's one of the 68s.

This is what I know: it is not US games, it's tarot productions from california, it looks like it may have been preforated at one point, the LWB is actually orangish brown, color deluxe edition, the only copyright i can find anywhere is 1968, has no barcode, it has thin cardstock, has gold sun on back, and it smells of my grandmother's perfume.

Hoping someone here may know the lineage of this deck and be able to identify it! Thank you!!

It's definitely one of the '68s but there are variations among them and I don't know enough to say where yours falls in the spectrum. I know there have been a lot of discussions in the past about all the different ones and how to identify them, a search might turn up something. Hopefully someone with more expertise will weigh in.

Thank you! I searched but most of the pictures and discussions were of the cards themselves. From what i read on a RWS albano heritage website i believe i have a third or fourth printing based off of the address listed on the box. The first tarot productions company was on Melrose and that box has a gold sticker also a different abbreviation of CA, neither of which I have so that's where I have gotten to so far!
