How MANY and WHICH Lenormands in your Reading Arsenal?

Asher

Gulp...

I have over 100 Lenormand decks, collected over the past 5-6 years...I have found that I don't care for most modern decks (There are a few exceptions). My preference is for historical reproductions and vintage decks. (Thanks, Lauren, for helping me grow my collection!)

So in my go-to box of reading (and teaching) decks are:

Alte Deutsch
Altenburger (unrestored)
Altenburger (Lo Scarabeo)
ASS deck (vintage 1940’s)
Blue Owl
Brepols/Carta Mundi (with verses)
Carerras (vintage 1926 wide cards with head insets)
Carerras (vintage 1926 narrow cards with card insets)
Coffee Cards (pre-Lenormand)
Daveluy
Dondorf (LeFanu’s Destroyed)
Dondorf (Lavender edition)
Dondorf (with verses)
Dondorf (French Cartomancy)
Dondorf (Königsfurt Lenormand Orakelspielkarten)
Dondorf (large Lo Scarabeo deck for teaching)
Game of Hope (Ur-Lenormand, large deck for teaching)
Game of Hope (beta edition)
Game of Hope (Star edition)
Game of Hope (Tarot Professionals 1st edition “greenie”)
Madam Morrow
Maltese Museum (Paris De Bono)
Mertz
Piatnik
Schmid
Starduster (modern version of Stalsunder)
Stralsunder (restored)
Wanderwust (modern version of Wust)
White Owl
Wust (unrestored)
Wust (restored with insets)
Wust (restored with verses)

Many of these get used as loaners in our monthly Lenormand Meetup group. This way, folks can have similar decks to use until they decide which deck to get for themselves. These are also the decks I use to read for others.

Rose Lalonde

I almost always stick with these 3.

Mertz
Blue Owl (w/cards)
Satono "shamanic" (doesn't look shamanic -- maybe something was lost in translation from the Japanese)

Lenormand collection...

I started out with the Postmark Lenormand and Pixies Astounding about 3 years ago but I was totally focussed on Tarot at that time.
- I did attempt a GT with the Postmark (which I still love), but I didn't even know the basics then due to a lack of books and it just felt too much like a foreign language to me! So i put them away.
About 2 years ago I bought Sylvie's book but I confess I was confused about her 'no layout' method. Later I bought Rana's book and would read up on card meanings at bedtime!

Started again with the Postmark and slowly began to pick things up.

So Now I have:

Postmark Lenormand
Melissa Lenormand (2nd ed)
Mystical lenormand
Pixies Astounding Lenormand (1st Ed) I really wanted this to be useable but found it didn't talk to me at all!
Enchanted Lenormand- (I love these! My go to cards for GT)

Fairy Lenormand & Gilded Reverie were gifted to me by my wonderful friend Matt only this week! :)love::love:)
