Just to make it clearer, Absynthe: I didn't mean YOU were imbalanced. I meant your situation was imbalanced. I, for one, do not believe that EVERYTHING in life can be changed if we have the will to do so. And from what you described, you took the measures you saw fit so nothing wrong there. Many things that unfortunately happen and that can tip our scales in the bad way (as you mentioned in your post). Accidents, diseases,losing a job. And unrequited love as well.
As for the extra cards you picked, would you consider posting them in "your readings" ?

Oftentimes I read Justice as reminding me of a universal justice or balance at work, and how everyone is always precisely where they need to be to learn something. This kind of justice, because it is impartial and unbiased, can sometimes seem cruel to us -- especially if we take it personally.
