9 of Swords in what context?

Merry Meet. I am Melijoy sending out my question to the forum from California. I'm a new member recently learning tarot but very in tune with my cards. I am currently in a custody appeal court battle. I asked the following single questions and received the cards noted below. The one I am questioning is the 9 of swords. I do not know if in the context of my question the card is indicating ill fate will befall me or the other person in the court case. All feedback is welcome about this card and the others I received.
