Success Spread

So I'm new at tarot and someone wanted to know. "will I be a bum?" So, I made up a "success" spread right on the spot. My results were pertinent, but quite negative, but I think that was what she needed to see. I could have told her right off, without the cards. But, continuing with what this thread is for.
I laid the cards as follows, but the arrangement is pretty loose and I'm sure could be easily adapted to suit one's preferences.:

2) Success in financial matters
3) Success in emotional matters
4) Success in social matters
5) Success overall

My friend drew :1) 10 of swords 2) Knight of sword 3) 5 of swords 4) 3 of swords 5) Queen of coins
She laughed, I was sad. I hate drawing negative things, but I think it was a kick in the butt she needed to avoid being a bum.

I think that's a nice looking spread. I would probably switch some of the placements around though. Overall success seems like it should go at the top. So I'd prob do something like this:

Glad the spread gave your friend the kick in the pants that she needed.
