Tarots of Eleanor Boyce

I have just acquired a number of decks by Eleanor Boyce:

I have the Four Deck Set and the Singing Serpent Tarot (arrived today), and should have the Decadent Dream Tarot shortly. Very evocative images based upon the work of various Victorian artists. The Four Deck Set consists of Majors only decks, although they have some extra cards. All the decks are limited editions. There was a previous thread for the Tarot of Sidney Sime, which is one of the Four Deck Set.

I am wondering how the Signing Serpent reads? Aren't the images too small? (as the deck size is regular tarot size and the cards seem to have wide white border, so I guess the images are small. The design is not too busy so it should be OK, I'm just wondering about your impression) Thanks!

All black and white. I haven't read with it, but I don't find the size a problem. There is a book at £20, but the LWB is quite comprehensive. I like it personally.

My FAVOURITE of hers (as it feeds an addiction of mine) is her Kay Nielsen.

But the Decadent Dream is a minor disaster; many of the images are HORRIBLY stretched or squashed. There's a thread about it with images somewhere. ETA here. I hope you aren't too disappointed...

I have several, but not her Beardsley; I have Lillie's and I'm not sure I want another....

Forewarned is forearmed . I have the Decadent and I am not disappointed - as you warned me in advance and I knew what to expect (I realize you asked Patrick I just wanted to mention that).

Kay Nielsen - I'm not surprised...What a pity (although understandable) that is a majors only. I guess the card are of regular size too (?).

I wasn't disappointed either. I think there are some interesting choices and that it is good for evoking moods. Thanks for drawing my attention to Lillie's deck - not seen it before.
