Vegas casino decks

I've ordered a couple of these and haven't received them yet.

Just wondering if I'm the only member who has these playing cards? There are a few old threads by Rusty Neon, is anyone else using them as a daily card reading?

Here's a lovely shot showing the New York New York cards, and Caesar's Palace. Mine are Caesars Palace though I haven't received them yet. I love the apple pips!

I have a deck of the Vegas Casino cards. My sister, husband and I were out in Vegas a few years back for my birthday and sis bought them for me as a part of my birthday gift.

I never really thought about using them to read with though.

The principal thing about these casino quality cards is that they are like butter in your hands. Shuffle with one of these decks, and then a tarot/oracle deck. The difference is VERY noticable. Wish they did some with illustrations, nothing over-the-top, just something attractive/pretty.

Nice to know that someone else has a deck celticnoodle, maybe you should break them open and do a reading. I intend using mine when they arrive.

Bee, I'm finding that playing cards generally have a good finish and are better than Tarot, they follow each other in a ripple affect. I have some decks with unusual courts and Ace of Spades but the pips could do with being 'pimped'. Probably why I liked the apples in the New York New York deck.

Would be nice if a few of us had these decks to compare. I have the Golden Nugget Bee deck coming too and the Ace of Spades is a beehive, which really appeals.

My daughter is in Stateline..which has Buffalo Bill"s, Whiskey Pete's casinos I am going to have her check out the decks there and bring me one from each. If they are unusual looking. Have no idea what they look like...Stateline is just outside of Vegas...sure like the New York New York ones...I have an old set of 'Beer is Better than Women because' by Ivory Tower Publishing Ace of Spades says...Beer is better than women because..... A good beer is never flat..lol..it is illustrated in black and white. If I knew how to put a pic on here I would...Backs are blue with red and white border.with big beer can and man standing next to it and hugging it..kinda racey..not quite X rated.

Lucky you cronegoddess54! Depending on how the decks are put out of commission (I wouldn't want one with a hole through the middle for example), I imagine these decks would be top class and therefore perfect for every day use. They should handle well and take a bit of rough handling. If the opposite corners are cut off that's ok with me but I've heard that some decks have holes in... something to look out for.

now see, I would think having a hole through the Ace of spades, right smack in the middle of it would be way cool! but then, that's me.

I guess as long as the hole is in the same place of every card it would be okay, otherwise it might be difficult to be objective, from a divination point of view. Different though.

When mine arrive I'll post a few links.
