Lynryd Narciso's art tarots

PathWalker

Post from the Philippines is (according to Lynryd) unreliable. Packages may not get through. When I bought several decks from him at once I paid for him to Fed-Ex them to me, because he sincerely believed they would not reach me otherwise.
That would not be an option for buying one, current deck.

This must have been a hindrance to him.

Perhaps Gamecrafter will help alleviate this. Although they seem quite expensive to send to the UK the rates are probably better in the US.

My philosophy: if I value the cards at all I'm also ready to pay for their safe and prompt delivery and if FedEx is good at anything it's that! It's expensive so I'd have to sacrifice that Anyother Tarot I might whimsically like from We'rewellyn done on a Heidelburg press in a factory somewhere but that's fine by me. A priority issue.

:)

Gamecrafter will indeed alleviate this - and to be fair to them (I am one who used to complain LOUDLY about their postage in the days that they sent things out in boxes 20 times the size of the decks within, with consequent costs) their charges are now standard US charges. Which is to say- not cheap but the same for all.

I think BIG companies there now dropship en masse to elsewhere and then mail on. I got several things bought from the US recently, and which were postmarked in the Netherlands.

A very belated:

Yes TGC's a big help in making my new decks. I'm looking into having my future stuff printed by them. :)

I would still, however, do some limited-ed, handmade projects every now and then. I'm exploring other options on how these can be made more available; a friend suggested another online store which sold her limited ed decks. Will be contacting them for the print run of the remaining copies of the Moody Lane.

Philippine postal service is very third world, sadly. I've sent stuff over the years and around half of them got lost along the way. I've had some stuff sent to me too, and some got lost as well. Some arrived with the packaging opened or tampered with. This is a big problem if the stuff I'm sending is signed and numbered as I would have to replace any parcel lost along the way. An alternative is to have them sent via courier... en masse, like people doing a group order - I think this was done for the Robledo Marseilles? Or have them sold wholesale or consigned in a store based elsewhere.

Anyway, thanks again everyone for your support of my art. Currently working on the Tarot de Maria Celia and its... gaga sister (What Would) M'Arse Say, as well as another Marseilles-themed deck done in a slightly different style). Hopefully they will be available via The Game Crafter soon.

(And I'm working on that website, Greggers! :D And experiencing brain indigestion along the way. I didn't realize web stuff have changed so much over the years!)

It might be worth listing here which of your decks you still have copies of to sell. I've been getting PMs :) (and NO, people, I am NOT selling ANY of mine !)

Maybe you could Fedex the lot to someone trustworthy, and handle sales from there ??

Seriously?! Oh wow. The only decks I currently have with me are the last few of the Tarot of the Curious East (with Tarot 2-12-1-3-11 and Tarot of PysChicks included as freebies). The remaining copies of the Tarot Rikit are... with someone. Will have to confirm regarding that. Also, the Tarot Resom is now available via the Game Crafter. :) I'm planning to have projects I plan to do in the immediate future printed by them. :)

Have you considered giving Adam Mclean another shot, though he seems only to publish majors decks?

gregory

Most of Ly's ARE majors only...

Is Adam publishing again? I thought he vowed not to, after that... issue with, er, pirates.

He seems to. There's a panel at the head of his "Limited edition Artwork Tarots" site about restarting publishing, saying he's actively seeking new artists. Set No. 28 will have been published in 2013 so it looks like since then.

I've bought 3 decks there, pretty sure they're from his earlier system. He claims he has improved facilities now.

Pirates? I thought I saw Long John Silver lurking in the shadows there!! Seriously, this must blight every specialist producer. Nasty.
