Very nice to meet Starbust_au and Suk, Lutestring also came along.
It was lovely, absolutely *lovely* to see the familiar faces AND the new ones. We must do it again.

Conversation ranged from tarot to tattoos, Lord of the rings to Outlander, badly drawn breasts to disappearing penises,(you had to be there).
And that's it in a nutshell, folks. You don't get conversations like that just anywhere - come along, next time!

Jyllims golden Wirth which was very very nice.
<small voice> An' here's me, trying not to buy any more Tarot or golden blingy things ...

There was also a deck with no backs.
He's right, you know. It's one of mine.

Any scientist will tell you that for an object, even a very *flat* object like a Tarot card, to have no back, is a scientific impossibility - they'df just keep slipping through the dimensions if they had no backs. But they all saw it - a deck with no backs. Defying science.

We actually used our cards this time too, we cast a majors only french cross which was interesting.
It was. And was quite revealing.

I'd like to thank everyone for coming, especially Nisaba and Jyllim who came by bus and train from Toukley and Newcastle, talk about dedication.
<shrug> It's a mere two hours' travel. Not too far for a cup of coffee and a piece of banana bread. After all, <breaks into song> I've crossed the ocean for a heart of gold ...

Quote:
Hope to see everyone again in the new year and would like to meet more Sydneysiders next time, 24,000 views of this thread so far, it's not all me and Nisaba admiring our handiwork.
... er ...

Perhaps you underestimate my vanity ...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And just as I was completing this post, the girl whose cafe I'm in (the in-house one in my home) came over and asked me how my trip went. So I tried to describe a cafe-table with us all sitting around, and decks everywhere, and a lot of laughter and talking, and us buying coffees and banana-bread out of pity for the owners of the cafe and to compensate them for hosting us ... <grin>
She then asked me if she was carrying a boy or a girl, and my lapis lazuli pendulum seemed to think it was a boy. We'll see.
If we choose to have another meetup on the Central Coast, perhaps we can have it at her cafe, out over the waters of the lake. Then my WHOLE collection can be present!
edited to add: Oh, dear. Looks as if I slipped and fell on the "buy now" button. I wouldn't be at all surprised if a Golden Wirth turned up at my home some time ...
It was great! I wasn't expecting to meet nisaba, I'm so happy you came. I wish I'd got more than one deck! I loved looking at all of yours.
The readings were super, I still can't stop thinking about mine.
Jyllim, you inspired me to make some bags for my decks over the weekend 😊 but I crocheted them instead of trying to sew hehe.
I'm seriously glad I got to meet you all! ATers are the best people, clearly
And I'm totally coming to future meets, on the coast or wherever
I enjoyed doing the readings, too. Maybe we could try a different spread next time?
I'd love to see your crocheted bags!
Seems like another meet is bound to happen - excellent
Photos attached! I'm making another one too, with the opening on the lengthways side.
I can't stop thinking how the colour of your pendant and the colour of your dress exactly matched the colours in the card you pulled!
Yeah, we'll do it all again. And next time I'll try and drag NisabasAcolyte along - he's become remarkably unsocial lately.
Wasn't that sweet? I think cards like to do these synchronistic things with me, I often pull cards that match crystals... and it's always surprising and new!
I didn't know Nisaba had an acolyte, where do I sign up for that?
<grin> He's another forum-member, who stole my name while trying to think of one of his own.
