Hastings tarot reader

This is a lovely and indispensable site. East Sussex is a very spiritual area with numerous groups and psychics (and a few witches!) drawn to this historic and beautiful part of England.

For some reason not much happening in Hastings at present, so I'm very glad to hear about the two London groups quoted by Tanga. Both look fascinating, so I'll be up there soon on one of my trips back to my roots. Thanks a lot.

For all it's a small country, we're much too far apart from each other!

I think BECAUSE it is a small country, folks just don't think about traveling so far Health issues apart of course, because I do know that makes some things impossible. But I'd drive 3 hours to get to a meet-up; some folks think 50 miles is too far, it's about what each person feels is do-able.

When I get to Glastonbury I'm just going to be a 'meeting' all by myself and then see if anyone turns up LOL

Glastonbury is within reach for me, yay! A day's outing, JUST.

A three-hour drive takes me to the Home Counties or the nearer side of London; into Devon; the south coast straight down, but not further east (I grew up in Sussex which takes much longer); the far side of Leicester; somewhere mid-Wales-ish; probably not quite as far as Birmingham. Definitely nowhere near Cambridge, or anything north of Nottingham. There's a vast amount of England beyond that range! Let alone Wales and Scotland. Let alone Ireland!

It isn't just our habit of thinking, it's the road network and the fact that when you drive three hours in, say, Australia, you get further because here there are more traffic lights and one-way systems within that distance.

And as for train fares...
I wouldn't dream of driving into London, for example. I'd have to take a train, meaning parking in the station car park + train from here + tube/buses etc... exorbitant for a day out. Let alone an overnight to make it more doable.

Time I looked into getting that private jet I keep thinking about.

I was wrong about Birmingham. I just googlemapped it. Three hours to Sheffield or Manchester, even if I used motorways - but I can't drive on a motorway for any amount of time (and who wants to anyway?), so three hours wouldn't even get me to Liverpool. Or Lincoln.

It's more than distance, it's the way roads go out like the spokes of a wheel from the cities. Crossing the spokes takes SO long.

But let's not despair, I'm sure we can make meetings happen one way (one route!) or another. Resourceful ol' us, eh.

She did indeed organise them BRILLIANTLY - we had a series - and then - well there were a couple of things that murdered it, I think, which without her organisation did for it.. But these things can be done; I've also gone to ones in Durham, Edinburgh and Kendal. (I THINK I organized the one in Durham but it's so long ago now...)

But heck - when I consider one I went to in Canada that had people from 300 miles away.... It was amazing.
