Isn't that the truth. Do we just accept, history-wise, that someone took the deck of cards and added the Trumps to it so as to get a game like Whist? The Trumps as a concept comes from the parades that Europe used to hold and the various archetypical-mythological figures that made up the parade, each one in succession "trumping" the one before it. Was Tarot born from someone making up a game?
