I agree, Queen of Disks. The extended LWB (pdf) calls him an astrologer too. Medieval doctors often used star charts to decide how best to treat their patients - which I happened to see in a documentary the other day (and thanks to your post just associated with this card). It was a widely respected pursuit with well known astrologers being called in as advisors at court.
I think he's got a definite sense of whimsy about him too (and so do his floating cups) which goes along with the 'imagination' side of things.
