I think The Tarot Bible by Sarah Bartlett is wonderful. I promote that book like nuts, lol. Very down-to-earth and understandable.

Pictures From The Heart: A Tarot Dictionary

I would HIGHLY reccommend Pictures From The Heart: A Tarot Dictionary
by Sandra A. Thomson. I'm not sure why this book rarely gets a mention anywhere as it a fascinating, absorbing, compherensive and very down to earth "dictionary". I say that in quotes as it isn't like a dictionary at all. Everything is so well organized and it's all there! I find myself turning to my copy over and over again, if I had a question (like...."what can a archway signify again?") it's almost always answered. There is an excellent review right here on AT http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/books/tarot-dictionary/...

Check it out!
