New Relationship Spread/ New Encounters: Suggestions?

Hi everybody,

Hope you can help me with my question:

For the past few months I have been sort of a hermit, hardly any encounters or new friend relationships with people. I am ready to make the movement outward and connect with people in my near surroundings now. But, I am cautious! The community that I am in right now is small and gossip can florish lushiously.

Can you help me with a fairly simple spread (3 to 6 cards) which tells me something about the person I am starting to interact with? I am thinking about question like:

*If I have an encounter with somebody, what are the positive points in his/her personality?
*If I have an encounter with somebody, what should I watch out for?
*How will our relationship develop? Acquintance, good friend, flaky encounter
*Is this person reliable / thrustworthy
*Should I be cautious / can I relax
*What is the best way to be around this person?

If you have a spread that can help me out or a spread that can bring me in the right direction, I would be so grateful!

Really speaking, you have managed to come up with your own spread, you have asked the appropriate questions, all you have to arrange it in a sort of way that it will help with the reading that you have done! (er, I mean, will do)

OK, So here are the questions you have asked, so look at the questions, and think of the best way to arrange them, this is how I would arrange the order of the questions:

1: If I have an encounter with somebody, what should I watch out for?
2: If I have an encounter with somebody, what are the positive points in his/her personality
3: Is this person reliabe/trustworthy
4: What is the best way to be around this person?
5: Should I be cautious/can I relax
6: How will ur relationship develop? Acquaintance, good friend, flaky encounter

Spread for new encounters

Bec, You have helped me learn how to arrange my questions and how to set them in a spread. I have never made my own spread before. That was really fun...

I have thought more about these questions and found that two questions are kind of the same. I have arranged as follows:

1. This card tells how I perceive the person at this moment
2. Positive points in persons personality
3. Negative/ Challenging points in persons personality (where I need to be cautious)
4. Is this person reliable/thrustworthy/are his/her intentions honorable?
5. What is the best way to be around this person? (Cautious / relaxed)
6. How does this person perceive me?
7. How will our relationship develop? Acquaintance, Good friend, Flaky encounter.

Still open for suggestions... and still curious if somebody knows a spread about this very topic!

Place cards down (diagonal one, diagonal two, filling in spaces -it looks weird on the pic, 2/5 is a cover). I made this spread to have each card interact with every card surrounding it according to dignity. Thus it may be easier to use a Thoth deck, or other where no reversals are not used normally. 1,8,4: Known characteristics

2:Mentality (Intelligence, morals, etc)
3:Compatability (duh)
4:Interests
5:How to start
6:Relationship potential
7:Any bias (can change if you have something in mind)
8:Sexual orientation (according to dignities, but position can change if needed)
9:Overal comment (answers "so what?"
10:Add up all pip cards (court cards if you assign numbers) and find major arcana that corresponds (assign to whatever you would like Ex: major arcana comment)

I threw this spread about someone that I just met this weekend... is there significance of having three of the four pages in the spread? Also, the bias is the lovers?

I have looked at my book, it says 3 Pages = disputes

As for the lovers, it is hard to say without looking at the other cards in the rest of the spread.

That doesn't really bode well does it? I think I figured out the lover's card -- I have to keep reminding myself that no one on here can see my cards!!! LOL I'll get it soon enough :O)
