Zirkus Magi

Essjay

It's the same size as the distressed, but no, the back has not been distressed; it's designed to match the roadshow edition. Can also be used side-by-side with any deck, of course.

I don't rule out a Distressed version of the Midway Arcana sometime in the future, but hey -- I *just* got finished designing this deck, it's taken up a considerable chunk of a year, and I'm frankly itching to work on something else for a while now.

Thanks for asking!!!

Thanks for the info! :)

More than just showing off a lot of individual cards (although I certainly hope they are worth seeing), the structure and shape that I created for the deck should now be apparent. Tomorrow, the home stretch begins, and it's my hope that i can release the deck next week....

(oh... and I've done a lot of little fiddly revisions all across the site. Like -- things should now fit onto most screens!!)

What started as a simple expansion pack for the Zirkus Magi -- including significators, alternates, same-sex lovers cards and the like, grew into a massive 78-card expansion that changes the whole tarot experience in unique and interesting ways. Zodiac Cards, Totem Animals, a Working Wheel of Fortune and really very much more -- use just a few to enhance a reading, or use them all in combination with the Roadshow or Distressed editions to create a massive 156-card tarot UBER-DECK. It's like nothing you've ever seen before. In the immodest way of the Circus, we hereby proclaim it "The Most Spectacular Tarot On Earth!"

We call it The Midway Arcana. And it's here now.

Going, Going Gone...

Today’s inventory of the First Edition ZIRKUS MÄGI decks revealed that there are fewer than 40 copies remaining of the original Majors-Only deck (of which there were 300 copies total), and fewer than 50 of the Full Deck First Edition (500 total). This is still the Cadillac of my line, and when they are gone, they are gone. Does one of them have your name on it?

Freder, do you offer a Distressed version of the Midway Arcana?
i am thinking about purchasing the Distressed Zircus deck, and would love if they were both distressed, so they would "match". xox

See my answer to Essjay above. I am focussed on making new material right now and will be for some time to come. I don't see a distressed Midway happening for at least a year.

Thanks!

Zirkus Magi tradition

From what I understand this is a Thoth-based tarot, not a RWS deck. it was described earlier on Aeclectic.com as a RW deck. It is not.

Freder

Actually, KawKat, it's a blend of Waite-Smith and Thoth. When I created it I remained open to all influences and did not concern myself with slavish adherence to one system or the other. I think that helped to make it a versatile deck.
