Moon void of course

Sharla

Going on the moon void of course.....so if Moon is in the last degree of a sign and makes no more aspects before it leaves that sign. This alone indicates that nothing will come of the question, and nothing will be gained by following the present course of action.

Is it really this simple, to see this in a chart and have the answer NO right there, just from this void of course.

Also if it's a day chart, does this still apply ?

For some it is that simple. But William Lilly allowed the Moon to be applying to another planet, as long as the aspect was completed in the early degrees of the appropriate sign. So Moon at 28 degrees Taurus applying to a trine to Mercury at 2 degrees Libra would not be counted as Void of course, even though the trine was only perfected when the Moon moved into Gemini. Lilly seemed to think that this would only work well if the Moon was in Taurus, Cancer, Sagittarius or Pisces - that is its own exaltation, its own sign (and the exaltation of Jupiter) and the signs of Jupiter.

Personally I take a Lilly plus line and will treat the Moon as not VOC as long as it makes a major aspect within a couple of degrees of changing sign or within the next twelve hours, preferably less.

So if you have moon at 3 degrees Taurus and the 1st aspect it makes is an applying trine to the sun at 28 degrees in virgo. How would this work out ?

The way im understanding it, id say it would not be counted as a void of course, because the degrees between the sun and the moon are only 5 degrees apart. (even though its 4 signs apart).

Am i correct or wrong lol ?
