How necessary is the LWB?

I think the LWB gives insight into the authors intentions, but if you dont give a damn about that, then its pretty funny, like crowley's: "Hierophant: occult forces voluntarily envoked" and "Devil: secret plan about to be executed" "the chariot: lust of destruction". Some are just waay out there.

A tarot deck without a LWB?

Even as much as we dis them, I feel it is important to let the readers know how you feel about them. Not nessasarly a LWB, but a discription of the deck you've created.

To me it's iffy rather or not it is important to have in a collection deck as I don't collect them. Good luck with this decision!
