Why do Major Arcana cards have only one Qabalah letter?

Freddie

Hi All,

I have been giving it a go again with learning the GD Qabalah. If the Major Arcana cards are a path, why do they only have one Hebrew letter? I am finding Paul Foster Case quite helpful with this subject, so he is the main person I am studying with some Crowley on the side. Dion Fortune doesn't do it for me, why I don't know. Maybe I should give her another try.

The simplest answer is that there are only 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet. There are 22 paths connecting the sephiroth on the Tree of Life. And there are 22 Major Arcana. That means one letter and card per path.
