Bluebird vs Red Lenormand

Ruby Jewel

I have noticed that there is a Blue Bird Lenormand and a Red Bird Lenormand. The Blue Bird is here on AT to look at, but not the Red....not sure what it is called....but it is in a similar box as the Blue Bird, just red....and then there seems to be some decks like Blue Owl. I am totally confused and am wondering if anyone can clarify this for me. I see them on Ebay, but not sure just what the differences are. Thanks for any help.

The blue one comes with playing card inserts, the red one with verses. The verses are about the meaning, but they refer to the concept of near-and-far in a Grand Tableau.

I have the impression that the Lenormand decks are growing in numbers...
There is actually a Blue Bird Lenormand:

And there are a Blue Owl, a Red Owl and as well a White Owl!

But be careful, because there are 2 Blue Owl!
The Blue Owl (english edition) has verses inserted in english, and the Blue Owl (german edition) has no verse inserted.
The Red Owl (german edition) has verses inserted in german!

If you want the german edition with regard to the Blue Owl, buy the "Blaue Eule"
I recognize that it is a bit complicated :)

Hope that helps!

All info helps...thanks.

There's also a version called the White Owl. It has the same artwork, but has been re-colored by Regula Elizabeth Fiechter. It has playing card insets and is very colorful (some might call it garish). The Man and Woman cards do face each other, if that is important (I like them facing, myself, but it's not a deal-breaker).

I like it as an alternative.

I got it from the Book Depository and it is currently available.
