hello, newby here. Mirroring. I did a search and nothing came up. The gist I get from reading this thread is that mirroring is taking "pairs" of cards, (whatever your personal system is) and reading those in relation to the "line"?
Think of a mirror image. Whatever card is the exact opposite in the spread (left to right and top to bottom) is a mirror.
For example, in a 9x4 spread, house 1 mirrors house 9 and and house 28; house 2 mirrors house 8 and house 29.
Houses: If you were to lay all the cards out in numerical order from 1 to 36 in 4 rows of 9, you have the houses:
01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09
10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18
19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27
28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36
In a short spread say a 5 card spread, mirroring is the same concept.
1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5
Card 1 mirrors card 5, card 2 mirrors card 4, and card 3 is central to the spread, and thus has more weight.
Mirrored cards are read like combinations. If the heart mirrors the child, it refers to the love a child, childish behavior in relation to love, or making a new start in one's love life.
So in a 8x4+4 GT, the 6th card would be mirrored to the 3rd. But would it also be mirrored to the 30th or 36th card?

It would be the 3rd and 27th, 6 and 30. 01 and 08 mirror each other as do 04-05
Basically, take your spread and fold it in half... So 12-13, 20-21, 28-29, etc, in the spread above. 18 and 23, 31 and 7
You guys seeing how I'm doing this? Btw, I don't mirror the +4, other than with each other.
