The desert island thread really got me thinking.
Which of our favorite decks are all about reading about our codependent relationships? Which decks are life changing in helping up to maneuver in our sick environments, but not really working on the most sacred parts of ourselves?
Which decks help us bond with the divine or our guides?
When you are truly alone and not running circles around someone else, which decks help us truly connect with ourselves and/or the divine?
I've only been testing my decks for a week by this standard. I've found no quick answer.
So far Good witch Bad Witch seems to be doing a good job of not dwelling on others or my reactions to them. Funny surprise. Tiny, Off center, quirky deck I got in a cast off bin, that I bought on a whim.
I have high hopes for the Well Worn and Hidden Path decks. I bought them just for this reason. I hoped they would focus on ME and doing solitary rituals.
I'm so tired of losing myself in codependent behavior. I want some decks that talk to ME, the real me, not the leftovers that remain after everyone else spends the day mucking me up.
Any suggestions or comments?
