Well it took me a while to finally start turning ideas into sketches, and even longer to put those into paintings... but I finally made the plunge and acted like the fool it all begins with!

Here goes nothing....hope you like it:

Wow - love these cards! Well done. :D

(I will comment properly on DeviantArt... I have added you to my DevWatch. :p)

Strange2

Excellent work, temperlyne! Really like the zoomed in focus on the head of the High Priestess. This leaves the viewer wondering what her hidden body looks like. Very appropriate and effective.

Looking forward to more of your Tarot depictions!

rota

Congratulations on getting started on your deck! It'll be a long and interesting road. I hope you'll keep us apprised of the latest images. (Though, when you're in the middle of the job, questioning it, your direction and reason for being there, I'll understand when you don't show us quite so much! :) )

Thanks guys for the kind remarks!

I will be working on the empress this christmas so she will be next on display.

For those who might wonder about the tools I'm using:
A4 paper
number 6 brush
about 6 different colors of acryl paint
and ofcourse a lot of imagination...

I wish you all inspiring holidays!

magician

While others are probalby celebrating a few calm days.., I'm finally finding the time to paint a little, so here 's the magician:

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/1071320

It might be more like a devil to some, but I wanted to create a magician that actually looked like he could create something, he had to vibrate with masculin energy and potency. I depicted him sitting on top of reality and being in control of it.
I hope I succeeded. If you have any question about the symbolism or something, just ask!

patter

great preistess -- very Diana-like with the crescent horns.
