RWS Tarot 101 Five of Cups

PAMUYA

Five of Cups:

A man stands with head bowed, shoulders raised, he wears a black and blue overcoat/cloak- black and blue? Has his heart been beaten black and blue? Three cups at his feet have been tipped, their contents split. Behind him stands two upright cups, which he does not see. A river (emotion) flows in the background, and a bridge (link, connection from past to present?) crosses this river which leads to a castle (protection and security). He is to busy grieving over his loss that he dose not see or appreciate what he still has.

Direct: We see people how we want them to be (a fantasy), not how they actually are, Crying over past issue, sorrow, loss of loved one, broken marriage/relationship, a choice to move on.

Reversed: Finding new joys, reappearance of old friends/lovers, getting on with life.
