Hanged man rx

do you guys think the hanged man could be being stubborn, not sacrificing your morals/standards?

Enlightenment23

Yep. Stubborn for sure. Refusing to see anybody else's views beyond your own. And also not willing to make any sacrifices for the greater good. For example, a wife who begs her husband to give up going out on Saturdays with the guys to help out with the kids, but he refuses. He doesn't want to make that sacrifice. That type of thing.

can it be in a positive way. like having standards for dating partners for example and not lower your standards for anyone? so a more positive take on the stubborn thing. or is it usually in a negative sense?

Yeah of course. I don't think any card is strictly negative or positive. It's all relative. All the Hanged Man reversed is saying "refusal to make sacrifices" or "rigid when it comes to seeing things in a different perspective." Whether that is good or bad depends on the context and/or the reader's opinion.

So, using your example: one person may think it's a negative to not lower your standards in the dating world and may see it as too uncompromising. But others might think that someone who has high standards in the dating world has conviction, so they see it as a positive.
