9 of pentacles as something unexpected

i did a daily reading and as something unexpected i got 9 of pentacles

i got a new pair of shoes from work (i work at a thrift store)
and i guy that comes in sometimes bought me a drink.

can nine of pentacles be seen as a gift?

i'm trying to see how accurate my spread was

It usually shows material gain of some kind, so a gift would be a definite possibility. An inheritance is one suggestion, or simply a substantial increase in goods. At a more realistic level, a new pair of shoes might fit the definition.

I think about the card as enjoying the finer things in life. So why not shoes and a drink?

I always receive a gift of some kind with the 9 of pentacles
