This book was printed in Shanghai in 1930's.
I live in Shanghai. I will try to find this book.

OK, it would be interesting to know more about this book.
I have the Portuguese version. I´m still translating it into spanish, it´s a long work.

It's interesting to know that a Polish translation exists. I finally succeeded translating it into spanish, and the more I know about it the more I think that Mebes was gifted with high esoteric knowledge. I think of this book as the most valuable in my bookshelf, as the teachings are really enjoyable. As the majority of this kind of books, when you think that you're reaching a really interesting point, the writer explains that he can go no further, as some things should remain hidden to the crowd. That makes you wanting for more, but I guess that things arrive when you're ready for it.

I see it is too late to save you some effort, but at least there is a standard of comparison. The Mouni Sadhu book, "The Tarot", was published in a Spanish translation by Editions Kier.

babeijon

Thanks, I knew about Saddhu's book. But I prefer reading Mebes book directly.

Using Google Chrome as my browser,
https://www.google.com/intl/en/chro...gn=en&utm_source=en-ha-na-us-sk&utm_medium=ha

when I pull up any page in a language that is foreign to me (in my case I speak english)
at the top of the page a monitor wide line pops up asking me if I'd like to translate the page to english.

This is the result, opening page.

Thanks for posting that, this certainly looks fascinating!

Wiki entry on Mebes is interesting ... somewhat of a 'Gnostic Saint' ;

" In 1926, due to imprudence of one of the students, the School and the domicile of its members were invaded by soviet authorities, the documents destroyed and those who were linked the School were arrested. G. O. Mebes was deported to a gulag in the Solovetsk islands, in the White Sea, sub-Arctic region. He died a few years later."

I also find the links of this school interesting (for me personally) in that it is a Russian manifestation of the Western Mystery tradition (with which I have had a bit of contact and exchange), a suppression of the system and a re-emergence (the same with one mystery school and two martial arts schools I was members of) and a new manifestation in South America ( the same with one mystery school that I have had association with but not membership and one martial arts school I was a member of).

In all these cases they have been re-established (eventually) in the country of origin ... but I not sure if this is the case with Mebes' tradition?

I would at like to at least brows this book ... but the 'in tray' is rather piled up at the moment.
