When I first opened it, I thought "Oh, no..." but after a few trial runs we became very good friends!
Me too!
I always -wanted- to like this one, but the eye-less people seemed freaky to me, and the art too chaotic and scribbly...
and then one day I saw the deck/book set in discount bookstore for very cheap, and since I have a VERY hard time turning down a deck that's under $10, regardless of what it is, it came home with me.
I read in the book that the eyes were empty because the figures were really archetypal masks, and that I was suppose to visualize myself looking out through them, and suddenly it got interesting. The art became alive and dynamic, rather than chaotic, and I did try to look out from inside the cards when I did readings.
I don't work with this deck anymore, because I've been on a historical-decks kick for the last few years, but Sacred Rose ended up being a favorite for quite awhile.
