Dream Enchantress. IX The Hermit

This is a very mysterious card! The setting looks to be some sort of empty bog and the sky is an otherworldly shade of pink. The hermit is actually facing away from us and looks to be walking towards the water. She wears a long purple dress with a tattered hem and a small bag. Her hair is blowing in the wind and she looks like she has wrapped her arms around herself to keep her warm. The weirdest detail of the card is two rocks jutting out of the ground--both with human faces! To be honest, I'm at a bit of a loss to explain these, so I'd love to hear other's opinions. Perhaps they're the remains of ancient statues? Perhaps they exist just to emphasize how lonely the hermit is? Perhaps they're the souls of others who have attempted to cross this bog? I dunno!
