Halloween Oracle by Stacey Demarco

Because I dont have a lot of decks for Halloween I ordered this and Anne Stoke's Gothic one.

Both have great artwork only the latter is on the small side.

As for the Halloween Oracle being up there as one of the top ~ I have mixed thoughts on that as I find it is limited to what you can read and the cards are hit and miss.

For example: One card. Specific answer.

How likely will I be going to my uncles birthday in October?

Card: Forgiveness.

Like really??? What is to forgive if there are no quarrels, rifts or anything negative.

To me it only answers questions where problems exist and yet she encourages these cards to be read everyday ~ so does everyone have dilemmas on a daily basis.

Not too sure about this deck ~ hit and miss I reckon.

I immediately connected to this deck when I got it. I love the art on it and the backing to the cards lol.

i purchased it, received it, blackened the edges, looks gorgeous, and
then promptly Sold it.
Why?
i just couldn't warm up to it...
And i usually LOVE most tastefully done Samhain/Halloween themed decks.

A few cards i quite like... but the majority...well...
not as much.
i have Halloween themed decks i like much
better, so i don't think this one would get much use by me,
therefore, i am very happy it has gone to someone who will appreciate
and enjoy it.

I know how you love Samhain/Halloween images. May I ask what it was about this deck that didn't ring your chimes? I only saw the handful of pix shown, so I can't judge what the whole deck is like, but would love to hear more about your opinion.

It might just be my own personal perception, but it seems like it is geared more for a younger audience. And...it just doesn't give me
that special "Samhain dusky, leaf crunchy...mystical magickal feeling..."

It is really hard to express...
i do like the skulls, the skeletons, and the Black Cat...and a few others...
but not enough to keep the deck.

And i guess i am just not overly fond of huge glossy oracle decks with key words anymore.


i think regarding "oracles" in general--i have gotten too used to my wonderful Lenormand decks...

Personally, I'm still a bit on the fence. I'm a sucker for satin finish boxes, but I should probably base my decision on whether or not I like the cards.

And @ MoonGypsy: Which are your preferred Halloween decks?

I tried to read the card names and the keywords in the video, but unfortunately the text is too blurry. Could someone who already has their deck possibly write a list with the card names and especially the keywords? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I really like this deck. There are few cards I'm not getting yet, but I think they're worth working on/thinking about. The only thing that bothers me is that the cute back design doesn't really match because it has items that aren't in the deck: bats, brooms, and witches' hats.

I realized that there are actually a few cards missing in the video - Apple, Black Cat, Cauldron, Death, Forgiveness, Graveyard, Invisibility and Lady de los Muertos. Cauldron and Black Cat are shown on the Blue Angel website, though.


ETA: I ordered the deck, Amazon says it will be here on Saturday!
