Fuzzy Imagery

I've noticed in both mine and these pics of the Red Owl that the imagery is really soft/fuzzy especially in contrast to the text.

I don't know. As you can see there's no date on the LWB. But it's without doubt an offset printing. According to the Lenormand museum, the deck was first published about 1920 :
