Can you help me find alternatives to the Midnight Soul?

Grizabella

Wow, Midnight Soul is going on my wishlist! It's wonderful!

Mystic Faerie isn't very erotic, since the characters look like they'd appeal to a young teenage girl, but that's the one that comes to my mind if she's intent on the faerie aspect.

If not the LS Universal Fantasy...the upcoming Shadowscapes

Just looking at the HPS makes me happy. Not published yet, but next year.

While I enjoy the Mage Ascension deck, it's not as fantastical as the Universal Fantasy or the Shadowscapes...what a brilliant deck that looks like to me!

Thanks for linking to the Midnight Soul. Gorgeous deck. Majors and discussion on aeclectic.net here for people waiting--and a lovely way to learn how a wonderful deck evolved by artist/author:

Favole is lovely as well, but as you say, the pips might be hard to learn. But if you think her attraction to the Favole is for the art, I do like the Universal Fantasy for it's rich, swirling energy and gorgeous color. I am eager for the Shadowscapes to be published as well!

Best wishes,

Maybe the Mage: Awakening if role-play/fantasy...or Paulina

The scans do not do it justice, but the Shadowscapes artist among others did also did fantasy images in the Mage Awakening deck from White Wolf that I like.

Or Paulina...tho a bit to whimsical:

By the way, your friend's sister has great taste! Thanks for posting, went through my fantasy decks again with a different eye and want to give Paulina another chance...

The Mystic Faerie is a GOOD idea. It is a lot sharper than people think. And although it isn't as colourful, it has the same sort of FEEL to it as the Midnight Soul, I think.

+1

i was thinking the same thing when i saw midnight soul, but i also think i want to get a copy of the midnight soul also, if it ever becomes available.

I was just about to post that here. Off to update my wish list. Is it still some unnamed European company? Is it LS??? :D

I'm so happy! :D

ETA: Apparently Llewelyn is publishing Shadowscapes this spring?? My wishlist keeps growing. Gah!

The creator, Liz (MidnightSoul) hasn't been heard from since June. It appears that some overly critical people may have driven her from this site. That would be a real shame.

Please post your support of Liz's deck on her thread.

I do WISH people who feel like that about their work wouldn't post it here, then.... :( It's so sad.
