The Gendron Tarot: 8 of wands

miss_apples

I have never gotten this card in a reading for myself but Ive gotten it many times for others and as beautiful as this card is...it worries me.

It is definatly a card of fear and entrapment. The woman in the card is in her house and looking out the door wanting to go outside but the storm of wands in the air makes her think differently.

Im wondering what the white cloth over the door symbolizes though?

Typically a white cloth or a veil which is closed means something that is hidden. Perhaps since it is draped, it means awareness?

The woman does not seem to be afraid. I see her as being curious. She has that posture of one who is just looking out the window and seeing something outside and getting ready to bolt out the door to see things up close.

So, awareness? Curiosity?

By the way, this depiction is so completely different than the typical RWS imagery. I like this card in this deck.
