Mlle Lenormand Deck

I have the Astro-Mythological deck by Mlle Lenormand. I can't find any information on how to do spreads with them, besides the game of patience.
I am trying to use them, since they seem somewhat advanced, and learn from them. I have had some luck, I pulled five cards at random, the letters fell in almost the exact order to spell death. That was interesting, since then I am not sure how to interpret them more. But, I am interested and very fascinated by them. I've done runes, I ching, and oracle cards, as well as my fav. deck is rider waite. But I want something more in depth, and also, does anyone recommend the Osho Deck? I've been thinking about it for awhile now.

But, I really would like to learn this deck, some spreads, some simplified ways of interpreting this full deck of cards. Can you just use any old spread?

I'm not sure that deck is Tarot. The Le Normands I know about are a different method of fortune telling than Tarot. There are threads in another forum down toward the bottom of the screen for those decks. Here's a link:

That is interesting that you got this deck, I was thinking about it but went with the Nr1941 Mlle Lenormand deck instead after going to the online tarot museum and checking out all the versions made or available. I don't know why I'm pulled to this deck lately but I am.

..it isn´t really like a standard Lenormand. Different system altogether. To be honest, short of the accompanying LWB, Ive never found anything else about it. Exquisite images, but veering towards the impenetrable...

I picked up this book, Le Livre du Grand Jeu de Mlle Lenormand by Jean Didier,
ISBN: 2-84197-038-8 ~ from amazon.fr but it's slow going when you don't know the language.

It shows 4 spreads/layouts:
Cross (5 cards- 4 with a center)
Principal/main (12 cards- 4 groups of 3)
Triangle (3 cards)
Astrological Houses (12 cards)

Since I don't speak/read French or German, I am lost. But, the feeling I get is that the "part" of the card you use depends on the type of question and spread.

I do have a small book that came with the deck, but it doesn't give any spreads in it, just the meanings of the cards. So in that sense I am lucky.

Yes this is it. It's so confusing. I wish I knew how to use it.
