Hi all TdM and old decks lovers.

I have a question that intrigues me

In the Tarot from François Tourcaty preserved in the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (BnF) can see handmade inscriptions, numbers and meanings.

This deck is part of the donation that made ​​Paul Marteau, it is understood to the inscriptions on the deck were made by Mlle Lenormand.

As far as I know there was never a book written by
Marie Lenormand on her Lenormand method.
The webpage you provided does not explain how Paul Marteau
knew the handwriting was that of Marie Lenormand. Perhaps the only way
to find out is to contact the museum?

Mlle Lenormand wrote many books

I plead Tarot lover

of which, I'm honest, the unknown until last week, I was intrigued by the GT,
mainly by the theme of the game, its mechanics itself,

and so I find books and information that talks about their different methods or lines that followed, cards, history; books in Spanish are unimaginable

My question would be, anyone who has read about the literature of Mlle Lenormand, have seen some reference on the Tarot and how they use their numbers?

I'm sorry I meant that there were no books written about the lenormand method of reading the cards, at least as far as I know. I have corrected my original post. From what I have read she may have used tarot cards and also playing cards for her fortune telling.

Good question! Since the modern 36-card Lenormand has nothing to do with Mlle Lenormand's real reading method, I'm also very interested to know how did she actually read her cards.

Are you going to be working on making a new Lenormand style deck with 36 cards or a tarot deck with a new numbering system, I'm not sure I understand? Look forward to hearing more about it.

for now I will focus on trying to decipher these numbers and try to find one possible consistency to this possible system.

Pablo is researching Mlle Lenormand's tarot reading method based on numbers written in François Tourcaty TdM instead of creating a Lenormand style deck, if I understood correctly. :)
