Roxanne was kind enough to send me some loose extra cards from the Vieville deck. For sure my next treat is gonna be that deck, which makes me wonder about the different versions of the Sun.
Can anyone here give me the low-down on the story of their differences? Does the child on the horse (Visconti, Vieville…) vs. the two kids behind the wall have anything to do with the TdM I/TdM II contrasts, as in cupid with and without blindfold? And I'm also curious as to why the RWS picks up from the Vieville style Sun.
I'm sure this info is in one of the many books I've read on tarot history, but it escapes me at the moment, and my wife is asking…
