To me, this card almost looks like it could be a sister card to The Chariot. It shows a woman at the wheel of a ship, wearing a lot of jewelry. She's got a very confident look on her face. She reminds me of a pirate captain! Around her are floating some weird fantasy goldfish-type animals. The water is calm, but it looks like dark clouds are rolling in behind her. This card makes me think about how vulnerable ships used to be (and still are, to a degree) on the seas. They were really at the mercy of the weather. Every time a ship would leave port, the crew would be spinning the Wheel of Fortune, hoping the water would be calm and they could see their loved ones again! Even though this captain looks totally calm and confident, her eyes are closed and she can't see the gathering clouds behind her. Hopefully the Wheel will bring her luck!
