Sun in Scorpio - Moon in Leo - Rising in Libra

Blue Butterfly

Hello there!

Do any of you know where I could find about about this combination? I'm very intrigued as I've only just found out my moon sign!

i would google them individually, first of all looking at what sun sing means etc, then the sign. Also try searching here also

Your Ascendant is the most important of the three, followed by Moon and then Sun.

I take a traditional approach here, so I'd put emphasis on Libra as a Sanguine (Air) sign, on its ruler Venus (and her placement in your chart) and on any planets in the first House and/or aspecting the Ascendant. Generally speaking, on the limited information here, you gain a lightness, sensuousness and sociability from this, though how well placed Venus is would modify this, as would the other planets and aspects (if any)

The Moon is taken by phase, not so much sign. In your case a Leo Moon with Sun in Scorpio, suggests a Moon that is between Full and third Quarter, adding some Melancholy to your temperament - that is some degree of sobriety and reflection. However the Moon's ruler. the Sun in your case, also needs to be considered plus and aspects involved.

The Sun is treated according to season of the year. In your case you are an Autumn birth (Western Astrology is a Northern Hemisphere development) and Autumn is a Melancholy period, adding in more sobriety, gravitas and reflection.

The rough balance above is Melancholy/Sanguine - a serious and reflective character, good at analytical and methodical skills but with a good dash of sociability that enables you to get on well with others and have some fun but you are not essentially a fun seeker, you like to socialise but to have meaningful discussions and hobbies which you can share with others.

Now that's very rough and ready as I have no chart to go from, and the positions of Venus and the other planets will modify this.

Thank you 214red :)

Minderwiz - Wow! Thank you for taking the time to reply, I find it very interesting & I am amazed about how much detail there is in Astrology! I must invest in a good book because I am very keen to learn more about this subject.

Best wishes,

A good recent introductory book is reviewed in the thread:

How close was the thumbnail to how you see yourself?

It is a very sketch thumbnail but it was designed to give you an impression of how Astrology works but it is not really reliable without natal details and the accompanying natal chart. You'll also find that a modern Astrologer might not see things in this way.
