It didn't look like it was the same type of scarf as their usual scarves though. I was trying to figure out what it would be like before. I don't think it is entirely free either and, no, I didn't want it, don't want it, wouldn't know what to do with it. I restrained myself from suggesting that Stuart Kaplan include a replica of his hanky with the Aquarian in a tin.

"I feel that the scarf does add a LOT of value as it's so flexible. I'm hoping it will be worn or displayed at least sometimes." (from the FB page)

But for those getting it/wanting it, their prototype is now pictured. It looks like a scarf. I found the bags. I suppose I have to face it that the deck just isn't for me. I think I liked the Moon best though.

*facepalm* Serves me right for opening that can of worms... yet... again....

Scarves are a frigging minefield.

Yes. And they are going to make another scarf later. And they are going to frame theirs which is probably the best idea but I would think would be rather costly (as long as I am there, I am reading the comments). This isn't the kind of place that needs a framed scarf either. People are very excited about the ...scarf Maybe they can just skip the deck.

Tarot de Paris came with a scarf. I found it was too slippery to use as a reading cloth.

I have no interest in the deck, but I must say that the scarf seems to be the item du jour, with concerns about the upcoming deck seeming to be zero to none. If all you want is a Baba silk scarf, they sell plenty of them at the Baba website.

ETA I am beginning to see why the scarf was flipping Flizzy out, a bit...

I don't know that an inflexible scarf would be TERRIBLY useful....

I thought that WAS a reading cloth. I agree - TOTALLY slippery.

Given an option, I would ALWAYS rather have just a deck (or on occasion deck and book) than deck with added stuff I would never use, would prefer not to have and not having it would keep the price down. I will ALWAYS go for a deck only option. But I do think you are effectively getting the scarf on the cheap - as you might say - here.

Me too. But - hang on - maybe it's a change of perspective? I find myself eyeing that synthetic purple *scarf* that came with the Jane Lyle Marseilles set and wondering whether the colour would suit gregory.

Of course. I wear it regularly.

(you believe that you'll believe anything... though the colour does suit - I actually do have other clothes that colour !)

But it isn't ideal, as there is a definite "wrong side" to the fabric, and IMHO a scarf should be entirely viewable from all sides.

Hmmm, this is like one of those old IQ tests:
Scarf is to reading cloth like pouch is to __________

Speedo! A free speedo with every deck!

LOL Loved this. Well I feel no shame in discussing the scarf on a loop throughout the night. I mean, let's not feel guilty, haven't we said all there is to say about the Tarot of Prague (until we see the retouches / tweaks) post-2003?

I wonder how it hangs off the shoulder?
