Here's a seven-card spread good for "general" or meditative readings.
There's a bit of history here, well documented in this thread in "Using Tarot Cards"
A little over a year ago, I found a marvellous book called "Tarot Revelations" by Richard Roberts with a chapter by Joseph Campbell. Both Roberts' and Campbell's sections of the book lay out the full set of Major Arcana into different configurations and then examine the symbolism and history of tarot through patterns found there. I was inspired to set up my OWN configuration, which is well documented in the thread linked above. Think of it as an alternative to The Fool's Journey in understanding the relationships of the Major Arcana to one another.
The "Seven Stations" are a pattern discovered within the method I devised of laying out the Majors.
Let's start with the simplest spread based on the "Epiphany" method:
01 - 02 - 03 - 04 - 05 - 06 - 07
With the following meanings:
01 - Your Origin
02 - Your Inspiration
03 - Your Power
04 - The Turning Point
05 - Your Transformation
06 - Your Epiphany
07 - Your Destiny
