Learning the Tarot d'Eltynne / Oracle Belline

The Gordo

Hey all,

I'm new here and my Tarot d'Eltynne has been ordered and should be arriving shortly (http://mandefield.free.fr/eltynne_en/index.html).

I was originally deciding whether to learn the Lenormand or Tarot d'Eltynne. I've heard they both mesh very well together as well. My primary concern however is accuracy, and it seems both these decks have a reputation for this. I just gravitated towards the artwork of the Tarot d'Eltynne more than the numerous Lenormand decks.

There seems to be scant information on this particular oracle deck and their users. Can anyone provide help in terms of websites, blogs or study groups regarding this Oracle? There doesn't seem to be many books on this oracle either.

Welcome to Aeclectic! :)

All I can tell you is that Tarot d'Eltynne is one of my favorites to work with. There's something so welcoming about the artwork. I like the way it speaks in mundane terms the way Lenormand does, but in a different way than Lenormand. I like having variety. :D

I don't think there's a study group for this one, but I believe they're easy enough to start if enough people would be interested.

That's great. Thanks for your help silverr and jrr01!

I've got some Eltynne stuff on my blog and if you read French, there are some pages and forums on the Oracle Belline that aren't bad - the Eltynne being the superior version of the Belline.

http://www.kinthia.com/oracles/oracle-belline.php

Isn't bad, and has some of the basic meanings and a few combos, plus there's a forum attached. I don't think there's a lot in the English language, though, except for a few bloggers, and the translation of the LWB.

There may, possibly, be some Belline stuff in English, but honestly, I never looked for it - it just doesn't seem popular in America or the UK, so it didn't occur to me that people would write about it extensively in English.

Your blog is great Gavriela! Though I can't read French, I'm trying to understand the site as best I can through translating it through babelfish. I'm hoping Eltynne takes off in popularity in the U.S. soon. If not, I'll lead the charge! :)

The Tarot d'Eltynne is a very nice deck. I like to use it often and it is more accurate than almost any other deck I've used.

It was even correct for me in predicting money coming! One day, my draw said I would be getting unexpected money and the very next day my husband and I received an unexpected check in the mail for a large sum!

Most of my readings with the Tarot d'Eltynne are on my blog.

Agreed - it's one of my favourite oracles, too. And given all the time Medlindaf spent on it, and correcting the mistakes Belline made from Edmond's originals, I'm really not surprised.

This is also my not-so-indirect support indie artists, please! Especially if you love their work.

There is an English translation of the Eltynne site at:

http://mandefield.free.fr/eltynne_en/index.html

You can purchase the deck from there, but I'm not sure that there's more about the cards than you'll find in the LWB.

Will be in the post tomorrow (Thursday) - Medlindaf emailed me.
