Hi Michelle Great idea. I've visited Wellington a few times and really like it. The weather is gorgeous every time I visit and the city is well laid out and has a nice vibe. I use tarot for relaxing. There wasn't a lot of tarot teaching materials around when I first got involved in tarot in the 1970's and I am still very much a beginner. I was amazed at how many cards and how many interpretations are available when I searched the net on tarot a few months ago. That is how I found this site. I think Thirteen's interpretions of the RW tarot are spot on. It is also helping my readings having a RW deck with the Universal tarot as there is so much information to gleen from the detailed cards. I'm really enjoying being a member of this site and I've only just got here! __________________ Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it. Kia Ora! My name is Rosanne and I live North of Auckland by the sea. I have also used Tarot since the 70's, though in the last ten years, have been mainly interested in the History. If History is your bent, there are some marvelous sites and some wonderful explorers of Tarot world. The world of Tarot has opened up in New Zealand since the arrival of the web- and now we have a world of choices. It is great to see more Kiwis joining this forum as truly the site is international- but the creation was across the ditch. As Ambrosia said maybe we can get together one day. There is of course Tarot Aoteoroa. Enjoy the forum! ~Rosanne __________________ How happy is he born and taught, That serveth not another's will; Whose armour is his honest thought, And simple truth his utmost skill! Thanks for coming by and posting guys. Ive PM'd any other kiwis I have come across on AT, so far about six of us, so hopefully they will chime in here aswell. If you come across anyone else lol, send them over this way to introduce themselves. ![]() Lovely to meet you, and hopefully we will see more of eachother around. Rosanne, I had never heard of Tarot Aotearoa. I went and had a look and it looks very interesting. Most Tarot stuff in NZ seems to be based in Auckland though, it would be great to have a Tarot group in Wellington. Heres hoping this may be the start of something like that. Hopefully there are more Wellingtonian Tarot enthusiasts around somewhere. Tena koutou e te whanau o Aotearoa I live in Hamilton, I am currently working for ASB bank at the local airport. I have 3 children 16, 10 ,8yrs. My current interests is the lenormand. I have had an on and off again relationship with tarot for a few years, but there was so much depth in it, that I couldn't get my brain around it. I enjoyed using the playing cards for a while too, but now the lenormand has won out. i have just finished the workshop with Sylvie Steinbach first world premiere event, it was a very enjoyable time, and we all learnt heaps, so I hope to have a new awareness of this oracle in New Zealand. There will be another one in NZ next year!! I got to meet Mooncat2 at the workshop too, so that was good to finally meet another ATF member. Auckland isn't that far away, so I may meet the Aucklanders one day too, not sure if I'll get down to Wellington anytime soon, unless I have to go to the lotto commission to spin the wheel or collect first division ![]() I had finished last year 2 years of study of the Maori language, and that was a great awakening for my culture and spirituality. Greetings everyone, I'm new to the forum and Michelle was kind enough to send me this way. I live in Auckland and have been in New Zealand for the past 15 years. I am originally from America - Hawaii to be exact. Actually, my husband and I have been away for the past 5 years working abroad on luxury yachts as professional crew. Back home now and back into corporate life again. I took a strong interest in Tarot a few years ago. I am very new to it, but like many, was drawn by the beautiful pictures and the story they tell. The more I learn, the more I realise what I don't know. I pull a card each day before I go off to work; a card to meditate on and guide me. It usually is spot on. I look forward to chatting further with all of you! Sunshine |

Kia Ora, Lovely idea, Ambrosia and nice to see more Kiwis arriving at AT. When I first joined I was the only one and although I've seen others come not many seem to stay. I've recently been through a great deal of personal upheaval which has kept me away from AT this year but looking forward to the New Year and getting back to normal. We moved to Cambridge in March and are adjusting to the life of retirement. I have four children all grown up and married, and a horde of delightful grandchildren. I've been working with tarot for about 15 years with the focus on readings for personal and spiritual development. More recently I've become interested in the Lenormand and had the good fortune to attend Sylvie Steinbeck's workshop in Hamilton earlier this month where I met Phoenix Rising. First time in all these years I've met an AT member in person so that was quite special.

I just thought, if we pop in here regularly, we will be able to keep the thread near the top so any other kiwis joining will be able to find the thread easily. Anyway, I look forward to hearing all your guys progress. ![]() Michelle __________________ May you find Tranquility, Wisdom, Inspiration and Hope, in the Creative Muse that is Tarot. ~*~ Le Stelle |
