![]() Thanks for stopping by, its lovely to hear what everyone is up to. Yes I think you are our only South Island member at this stage, hopefully this will change as time goes on. Most of us seem to be up north at this stage, but our kiwi members seem to be growing so thats awesome. I wish you all the best for your Tarot reading, and crystal healing business, you sound as though you will pull it off quite nicely. Where have you moved to NZ from? Kia Ora everyone! Not a native of New Zealand, but my Grandfather was from Wellington. I hope to be over there in 2009. As for now Im in Oz ![]() Im gate-crashing here a bit - sorry, but I have a question ... What are some of the things to see in Wellington? Which are the best resteraunts and night spots - what is there to do that the tourists don't know about (yet) ..A friend asked me this question a few weeks ago, and I have been madly searching for information, but it's not the same as getting the news from someone who lives there, especially seeing that I haven't visited NZ yet myself. If you feel inclined guys, I'd love a few hints - even if you can point me to a good website. It doesn't have to be just Wellington, but anywhere in NZ you've really enjoyed, nor does it have to be just Tarot based. I'd love to hear about anything of interest happening over there. Great thread btw ![]() Cheers Elven x __________________ Elven - 15 months old |

Hi Elven I don't know Wellington very well, though always enjoy it when I visit. Te Papa Museum of New Zealand is worth a visit. And a good website which should give you ideas of where to go and what to do is www.wellington.govt.nz. I see you're from the Blue Mountains - a very lovely place. Oh, and btw Elven, Queen Elizabeth Park in the greater Wellington region sounds fantastic with loads of things to do if you're into the outdoors. I haven't been there, but I'd love to go. Here's a link to the park www.gw.govt.nz/section404/cfm. __________________ Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it. |

Maybe: Te Papa, Staglands (animal park this is great), Nga Manu Nature Reserve, Lindale (Ice Creams, farm tours, touristy stuff). Take the ferry across the harbour and have a look at sommes island. Karori wildlife sanctuary (this is very good) There's a lot of bush, moutain biking and hiking opportunities. Kayaking etc as well. Depending on how active. Take the cable car up to the look out at the top, walk down through the botanical gardens. Bar wise I like a huge beer and a plate of Mussels at Luven (sp?). There's heaps of nice places to eat and drink. |
