Well it is official. . . I will not be able to make it to Reader's Studio or BATS this year since they both take place in the last weekend of the month. I have to work those weekend.

Sorry about not making it because I was looking forward to what had become a yearly tradition.

I had looked forward to our usual table!!

It looks like I will be able to make it. I'm just still hesitant because hubby might need to come in two days later on a different flight, and I'm not keen on doing the intercontinental trip by myself.

I paid last week via paypal. Aulruna I hope you can come I look forward to seeing you again. I know that is a long flight by yourself I have done it a few times, just bring your music and relax knowing you will have plenty of stimulation when you get to NYC!

It's not so much the actual flight, it's more dragging around the luggage and facing all the security procedures connected with flying to and from the US these days. I always seem to attract extra attention, and immigration generally takes at least 1.5 hours.

Wow, I would LOVE to go to this! It looks a little expensive when I factor in the hotel and travel though, but thats not even flying, just driving!

No idea - Scion used to organize this and I gather you need to be on location to sort out the logistics, negotiate the menu etc. As he hasn't been around much AND is a master presenter this year, I'm not sure he's got the time to do it again.

The trade train has been an official Readers Studio event for the past two years, so independent from AT. I didn't see it mentioned on the RS website, which doesn't mean it won't happen.

Well on facebook a while back frannie mentioned something about coming in thursday for the dinner. But that's the only place I've even seen it mentioned for this year.
