Death rides a pale horse
And takes
Hopes and dreams and fears
Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers.

Death is the plague wind
The hard rain
The knife in the hand of an enemy
The kiss from the lips of a friend.

The wheel turns
And this is
The moment of pleading
Of grieving
Of Death.

Thanks. Wish it had been freakier.

I decided against personal, went for topical.
This or man in orange jumpsuit.

Lillie, what a great card! I like the different shades of red...splashes of crimson and cherry... In some areas, the red looks "fresh" and in other areas, "stained." It immediately conjured up images of life and death for me. And, seeing the cemetery below, gave me goosebumps. I like your use of black and white and the way your poem reflects how Death can rob or redeem.

I like the idea of a dinosaur on the Death card - I never thought of that before -where would our petro fuels & wars over oil bearing nations be without the death of the dinosaurs? =)))))
