Liber T Stars Eternal - Ace of Swords

velvetina

I'd love to hear other people's opinions about the inverted sword in the Liber T's version of the Ace of Swords. Why is it inverted?

Here are a few of mine:

that, as Aces represent potential, the 'Will' (inscribed on the hilt of the sword) is still dormant

that the Will is internalised

that the Will is directed towards inner transformation, rather than material changes

this post might be better suited in the Liber T study group? I don't mind if it's moved.

Also its title is : Root of the Powers of Air

And if you look at the Sword, it seems to be cutting through clouds, which I think is showing the Airy aspect. The tip of the Sword is also touching the edge of the card, so it is rooted. In the Thoth, the Sword Ace is blade up. This is when I miss a dedicated Liber T book.

For me the Aces are the start of something - So the Sword Ace might be an idea, a beginning of an idea or thinking something through, it's airy and intellectual, not emotional. The Sword Ace might make you see things clearer, mental clarity or the start of it. I find it hard to read the Aces.
