Montréal is a cosmopolitan city. Many languages are spoken there, as well as English. Beside, accents are cute.

The picture are quite evocative. But you better be familiar with the mythos and world of Lovecraft. I find the cards huge but it does justice to the drawing. There is a few cards with some dark humor. And there is a card with a portrait of Lovecraft (with a quote, quite a fitting tribute/hommage).

Usually we spoke english. I think there was only on the first meeting where there was a bit of french.

I can't wait for sunday! I think I better polish a little bit my text on the 6 of pentacles...

The next event is coming soon...

Be ready to come at the Cine Express, the cafe place under Le Mélange Magique:

Sunday, April 10 2005 at 2:00 PM.

I'll be there!

P.S. Don't forget to bring your short story based on the Queen of Pentacles.

I guess that was my initiative. I like to speak French when I can. That was the first time I could discuss tarot in French.

I have yet to get my butt downtown for one of these meet ups......

Perhaps in the near future I'll pop in. Nice to see it's working on a regular basis.

Will it return to Melange once renovations are completed?

oh and Wolfy...hope to cross paths someday at a SS with Karen....

We do meet each month, Annik and I bring our new decks and look at them carefully. She showed me the Gothic Tarot of Vampire the last time and the deck is better than I thought but not enough for me to buy it. Too modern for my taste but some cards are really good, but these are the minority so... The other two are not collectors so that part might be tedious for them, but they have showed interest for our new decks. I hope they don't feel too guilty for owning only one deck. I know Carol has asked us to bring her pagan decks so she will get to see them sunday, she currently uses the Robin Wood Tarot. Annik has the Pagan Tarot and I have the Tarot of the Old Path and the Druidcraft Tarot so I'm sure she'll have fun checking them out. What is interesting is that when we do comparative readings, we also use their decks and one has the Tarot of the Cat People and I'm starting to like it, some of the cards are interesting. As for the stories, I wrote one on a Gothic card but I haven't had the time to write it down so far.

The first time? You should come more often. I would bring my Fournier and we could discuss a bit. It's been a while since the last time I touched my Fournier. It's got its own bag now, the deck is happier than ever.

What do we have to do to make you come? As for the Mélange Magique, MPRC has little space now so I doubt we will be able to use this place anymore, we'll discuss this with Marina once we will see by ourself how it is now. We will be downstairs this month and we might use the place definively if what I fear is true.

Those interested in joining us are always welcome! And for now, we aren't very big (yet! (-: )
I had written something and for once, I didn't had problem choosing a deck to do it.
